INTRODUCTION

These Terms of Service govern your use of Vector Pacifico's website at vectorpacifico.com and our products: Corriente (daily intelligence brief), Vista (live intelligence workspace), Miranda (intelligence engine), and Araña (content discovery suite).

By using the website, subscribing to a product, or otherwise accessing our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Vector Pacifico publishes intelligence content focused on Latin America. Our services include:

  • Corriente — a daily email intelligence brief delivered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
  • Vista — a web-based intelligence workspace with maps, vessel and aircraft tracking, signal cards, and supporting analytical tools.
  • Miranda — the analytical engine that produces our intelligence outputs.
  • Araña — the content-discovery infrastructure that supplies sanitized inputs to Miranda.

We may modify, expand, or discontinue features as our products evolve. Material changes affecting active subscriptions will be communicated by email.

  • Subscription pricing, terms, and tier inclusions are described on our pricing pages and apply at the time of subscription.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain access until then.
  • Refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis for unused service periods, technical failures, or duplicate charges. Email consult@vectorpacifico.com with subject [BILLING].
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. Failed payments may result in suspension of service until resolved.
  • Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

You agree not to:

  • Share, resell, redistribute, or republish substantive portions of the brief or other subscriber-only content without our prior written consent.
  • Use scraping, automation, or similar techniques to extract content beyond what's accessible through normal subscriber use.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other subscribers' accounts.
  • Use the services to violate applicable law, including export controls, sanctions, or data-protection requirements.
  • Misrepresent yourself, use a false identity, or impersonate another person or organization to obtain a subscription.
  • Use the services to harass, defame, or harm any individual or organization.

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your subscription without refund and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.

All content produced by Vector Pacifico — including the daily brief, analytical summaries, the Vista interface, datasets, and supporting materials — is owned by Vector Pacifico or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

As a subscriber, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content for your own internal professional purposes. You may quote brief excerpts (under 100 words) for commentary or analysis with attribution to Corriente / Vector Pacifico.

We respect third-party intellectual property. Brief content references public-source reporting and is intended for analytical use. If you believe content on our service infringes your rights, email consult@vectorpacifico.com with subject [IP] and we will respond promptly.

Our content is informational, not advisory. Vector Pacifico's intelligence products are intended to support situational awareness and decision-making. They are not investment advice, legal advice, accounting advice, medical advice, or a substitute for independent professional judgment.

We exercise reasonable care in compiling our content and aim to source rigorously, but we do not warrant that every statement is complete, accurate, or current at the time of reading. Quoted statistics, named individuals, dates, dollar amounts, and similar specifics should be independently verified before being used in trade, legal, regulatory, investment, or operational decisions.

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vector Pacifico, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill — arising from or related to your use of the services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In any event, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the services shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the services at any time for violations of these terms, non-payment, or operational reasons, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to access the services ends. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Vector Pacifico agree that any dispute arising out of or related to the services that cannot be resolved through good-faith communication will be submitted to the competent courts of Quito, Ecuador.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these terms.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting active subscriptions will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance.
